I am a temporary-Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I completed my internship at CityReach and am privileged to continue serving here.  Before entering the counseling field, I partnered with my husband in ministry and raised our family. I am excited that God is doing a new thing in my life, allowing me to come alongside others in the role of counselor. I believe that healing and growth are God’s design, and I long to hold out this hope to people at all stages in their journey. I have personally experienced how God can make something beautiful from the struggles in our stories, and I believe this is true for everyone I meet.  

As your counselor, I will strive to meet you where you are and provide a safe space where you can feel seen, known, valued, and accepted. My heart’s desire is for you to experience the healing power of connection, embrace your unique strengths, and discover your capacity to overcome even the biggest challenges of life. You have made a courageous choice to come to counseling and I would be honored to support you on your journey. 

My approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to best meet your needs, such as mindfulness, cognitive therapy, internal family systems, attachment therapy, and more. You can expect to receive counseling that respects and upholds your dignity, worth, and uniqueness as we work together to meet your goals. 

In my personal life, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband, three adult children, and two grandchildren. One of my favorite ways to find peace and solace is in the beauty of nature – I love sunset-gazing, hiking, sitting by still waters, or just wandering through the cornfields near my home. Authentic conversations over a good cup of coffee, flower gardening, and curling up with a novel on my porch swing also bring me joy. However, my deepest joy and purpose in life comes from my relationship with my faithful savior Jesus Christ who accepts me as I am – He is my Reason and my Hope!
